About the Bricklaying Diploma
Description
Classes are held at the MATC Education Center at Walker’s Square, 816 West National Avenue, Milwaukee.
Designed to prepare you to enter the masonry trade, this program teaches the fundamentals of laying block and brick. The program was developed with the assistance of local tradespeople and contractors. Graduates enter the field as a starting bricklayer.
Increased building construction has resulted in a need for bricklayers.

Architectural Woodworking / Cabinetmaking
Attain the skills needed to work in cabinet shops, millwork shops, furniture factories, display shops and maintenance shops. The curriculum includes how to read blueprints, make detailed drawings and use machinery.
Preparatory Plumbing
This program prepares students for a plumbing apprenticeship. As a graduate applying for an apprenticeship, you will be able to demonstrate your commitment to the trade, and will possess entry-level skills for a plumbing apprenticeship. This program is also for individuals interested in other piping trades.
