Craig Plewa
Department Chair, Lead Instructor
Craig Plewa drove trucks for more than three decades before becoming an instructor at MATC in 2019.
A Milwaukee native, Plewa graduated from Milwaukee Public Schools’ Alexander Hamilton High School in 1985. He took a job at National Transit Air in Milwaukee. He filed papers, swept floors and operated forklifts. Plewa got his chauffeur’s license on his 18th birthday and started over-the-road truck driving. He worked at Holland Trucking for 26 years before coming to MATC.
Plewa is father to a 31-year-old son, Michael, and a 27-year-old daughter, Ashli. He’s also grandfather to an 8-year-old grandson, Jaxon. He enjoys riding motorcycles and cheering for the Green Bay Packers football team.
Dan Zdrojewski
Instructional Chair, Lead Faculty
Dan Zdrojewski has taught truck driving at MATC for nearly a decade and has more than 30 years of experience in the transportation industry. As instructional chair at MATC, he helped design and develop one of the most comprehensive truck driving programs in the nation.
He serves on the board of the National Association of Publicly Funded Truck Driving Schools, which ensures that educational facilities across the country provide training that is high-quality, cost-effective and up-to-date.
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Phoenix and an associate degree in network and system administration from ITT Technical Institute-Greenfield. Dan also proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1991 to 1996, developing and implementing logistical operations.
